KUALA LUMPUR: Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Malaysia president, Prof Mohd Said Bani C.M. Din, was awarded the Gold Award for PR Leader of the Future at the prestigious Davos Communications Awards 2025 in Switzerland on April 11.
The award was presented by the World Communication Forum Association (WCFA).
Said Bani, who is the founder and managing director of bzBee Consult Sdn Bhd, was also recently awarded Communicator of the Year by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Asia-Pacific in Manila, Philippines.
bzBee Consult secured the Bronze Award for Best Global Communication Campaign at the Davos Awards.
The winning campaign — “From Discovery to Sustainability: Sarawak’s Brand Evolution as the Gateway to Borneo” — exemplified world-class storytelling and strategic positioning, reinforcing Sarawak’s international tourism appeal.
The Gold Award for the category went to DTEK from Ukraine for its campaign ‘Fight for Light’, while the Silver award went to WORDUP PR from Germany for its campaign ‘UN AIDS Communication Reaches over 3 Billion People’
Meanwhile, PRCA Malaysia Honorary Secretary Stefanie Braukman was named ‘Industry Champion’ in the PRNews Top Women 2025 Awards, with the official ceremony set to be held in New York this June.
Commenting on the awards, Said Bani said international networking and global recognition are “no longer luxuries but necessities” for the Malaysian PR industry to thrive.
“At PRCA Malaysia, we’ve worked relentlessly to open international doors for our members, ensuring that the expertise, creativity, and standards of our local practitioners are respected worldwide.
“These recognitions must also serve as a reminder to our own government and corporate giants that Malaysia has the talent.
“We must stop the default habit of appointing foreign PR agencies for national-level work when local practitioners have proven their worth on global platforms,” he said.
Meanwhile, WCFA President Maxim Behar extended his congratulations to the winners.
“From every corner of the world, these brilliant minds in communications are driving real change, breaking barriers, and building bridges.
“Proud to witness such energy, insight, and unity in one frame.”
