Maserati Granturismo Sport Arrives In Style In Malaysia

Va-va-vroom. Meet the babe-licious Maserati GranTurismo Sport.

The fast and furious Italian car was unveiled at the Naza Auto Mall in Petaling Jaya on Feb 4.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, joint group executive chairman and CEO of Naza Group of Companies, Datuk Maruan Mohd Said, senior vice president of 4 Wheels Naza Motor Group and Gaetano Marino, regional director of Maserati Asia Pacific.

Top TV personality Joey G acted as master of ceremony.

Also lending her celebrity power to the event was reigning Miss Universe Malaysia, Carey Ng.

“It’s a sexy car,” enthuses the beauty queen. “Like most girls, I find the Maserati engine sound the sexiest.”

With a starting price of RM1.118mil, the sporty Maserati GranTurismo Sport boasts high performance of 0-100km/h in only 4.8 seconds.

Its aerodynamic design is enhanced by the latest evolution in Maserati’s safety features, all-alloy and 4.7-litre V8 engine.

Naza Italia, the sole importer of Maserati and Ferrari cars in Malaysia, sold 27 Maserati cars last year.

“We are ambitious and we have a dedicated team,” said Wan Ahmad, the General Manager of Naza Italia. “Malaysia’s economic climate is in favour of the car industry. With the new model line-up, we shoud be able to capture substantial market. Malaysia is currently market no.3 for Maserati (after Singapore and Indonesia) in the South East Asian region.”
